With the impending Tropical Storm heading towards the Florida peninsula  we wanted to get you guys some updated severe weather templates. Notice some of the pages below have incorporated a National Hurricane Center RSS ticker which should provide up to date weather conditions and warnings.

The easiest way to access these templates is on the "Sample Dashboard".
  1. On your dashboard click the "Add" button on the top right of the page and a drop down menu will appear.
  2. On the drop down menu click "From Sample Page" (see diagram below)
  3. A "Page Catalog" screen will pop up, use arrows towards the bottom of the window to browse through templates.
  4. Double click the desired template to bring it into your dashboard and from there you can customize and edit.

Guys, don't forget about the RSS feed feature for your channel. It's a great news tool especially at times like this. An RSS feed can provide constant news updates from local, national or international sources. They're easily searchable on google however we have a couple of links below focused mainly on weather conditions for our Florida communities.

To insert an RSS feed into a page of your channel:

1.) Navigate to the app section of the designer and choose RSS.
2.) In the properties pannel, you're going to paste in whatever RSS link you chose for your page in the section near the top of the panel labeled "web address of RSS".
3.) Once you paste in the address click the refresh button to the right of the address field.
4.) From there you can also choose the styling, font, text color, etc  in the properties panel. Don't forget to limit the "maximum age of the articles" to make sure you're getting up to date news.
5.) And lastly if you have any trouble or need help drop us an email at
support@mysmartcommunity.net and we'll be glad to assist.

New Channel Dashboard

7/10/2020

We have been hard at work updating the Channel Dashboard. Here are a few of the new features:

1. The width of the center console now scales with your browser width, utilizing your screen real estate to the max.

2. Pages, playlists and channels now all have the same functionality:
  •        the ability to put items in folders
  •        searching
  •        sorting

3. You can resize each panel to show more than one line of item.

4. We've added more info when you hover over an active channel.(number of players and anonymous browsers playing that channel)

We will continue rolling out the new dashboard over the next week or so.

If you're not already seeing it you will be very soon.
